Incorporated in 1988, Arts & Artisans, Ltd. operates five retail galleries of contemporary fine crafts, all in Downtown Chicago. Our gallery names and locations are:

Each of our galleries offers something different -- the two Arts & Artisans locations feature all forms of craft media, from art glass, ceramics and turned wood pieces, to kaleidoscopes, decorative wall art and designer jewelry. Both To LIfe! locations focus on craft objects and jewelry having more whimsical and lifeform themes, as well as metal and soft sculptural works.

"Jeanine, I dream..." is our popular mini-gallery representing a broad assortment of designer jewelry and smaller scale craft pieces for traveling hotel guests. In all, we represent over 800 craftspeople and jewelry designers.

Arts and Artisans, Ltd. is a family business, run by the Hoffmann's -- David, Jeanine, and Amy. We work together closely in selecting the highest quality craftworks for our galleries, and in making sure that our customers receive topflight service. We believe very strongly that our long term success depends not so much on gaining new customers, as on satisfying repeat customers. This approach has no doubt helped in our being named a recipient of Niche Magazine's "Top 100 Retailer of American Craft" award for every year since 1996. In addition, we are long time members and supporters of the American Craft Council.

A visit to any of our gallery locations will impress upon you the fact that our primary priorities are to help inform and serve our customers well. We believe it is important to your appreciation of a fine craft object that you know something about the artisan who created it and how it was made. Within practical limits, we attempt to provide similar information about each work that is shown on our website.
